It’s a little bit like a recipe for a cake. You gotta draw everyday. You learn to draw by drawing. Again, You learn to draw by drawing. Follow the people that you love/copy their work for practice. Look at illustrators who have been dead for a hundred years/ sometimes they’re better than illustrators today. Those are who inspire *me*. Get a mentor/somebody who knows more than you, and learn from them. Visit people’s studios whose work you love.
If you’re anywhere in the area, sometimes I give workshops. They’re part demo, part philosophy and part inspiration. They’re in NY. I have them almost every month.
